About the Movie

Map The Music is a documentary feature film about music, focusing on what it means to people. The project attempts to explain how it helps us survive through not only difficult times, but in everyday life, with a nice balance of on tour interviews, backstage, studio and live performance footage. Featured artists included are Imogen Heap, Samantha Hale talks to Kate Havnevik Kate Havnevik and Zoe Keating, as well as Rachael Yamagata, Cary Brothers, Charlotte Martin and Jim Bianco of the Hotel Cafe tour. The story follows Samantha Hale as she copes with the loss of her father by traveling throughout North America and eventually London attending concerts and interviewing fans and musicians about why music is so important. MTM will chronicle her and partner on the film Lisa Tsaur's adventures on Imogen's entire 6 week tour, and travels with many others.
